Cal. 44 HRF. S# 22058. Bbl. 20". Band mounted front sight & carbine leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Brass action has saddle ring on left side. Band fastened carbine forearm & straight grip walnut stock w/ brass trapdoor rifle buttplate. S# indicates 1869 mfg. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube have faded to brown showing spotted light pitting. Receiver shows dents & wear w/ a mild patina appearance. Lever has been altered w/ a narrow pinned finger loop. Lever latch is removed. Lifter does not move when action is cycled. Stock & forearm show heavy wear w/ dents & handling marks. Bore shows scattered light pitting over worn rifling. (01-26426/DS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
